Week 7 Worklog

Week 7 Objectives

  • Learn the different types of AWS Certifications and understand the exam format, domains, weighting, and question style for the exam.
  • Take practice assessments to identify strengths and knowledge gaps across cloud concepts, security, technology, and billing/pricing.
  • Continue development of the Rafilm: AI-Powered Movie Logging & Recommendation Platform, based on the architectural and functional plan in the project proposal.

Week 7 Achievements

  • Understood the AWS Certification Landscape:

    • Learned certification categories and which skills they validate.
    • Gained familiarity with the exam blueprint, including domain weighting and question style.
    • Identified required AWS knowledge areas: cloud principles, architecture basics, security, pricing, and support tiers.
  • Completed Practice Assessments:

    • Completed multiple quizzes and at least one full practice exam.
    • Identified gaps in areas such as IAM fundamentals, pricing models, or architectural best practices.
    • Built a targeted study plan based on practice performance.
  • Progressed the Rafilm Project:

    • Strengthened the serverless backend built on Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB.
    • Verified frontend-to-backend flows via Amplify hosting and Cognito authentication.
